Dr. Kaycee Points
Dr. Kaycee Points grew up on an acreage just outside of Fort Calhoun. Her parents fostered her love for animals by allowing her to care for a menagerie of pets, including dogs, cats, ferrets, chickens, and goats. She was a Fort Calhoun Pioneer from kindergarten through high school and is happy to be back in her home town caring for the pets that live here.
Dr. Points graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Before coming to Countryside, she practiced at two other companion animal clinics, one in Ankeny, Iowa and the other in Arlington, Nebraska. Dr. Points started working for Dr. Sill at Countryside in February 2017. In January 2018, she was fortunate enough to become the practice owner. Since that time, she has worked hard to maintain the foundation that Dr. Sill built for the practice.
Dr. Points’ special interests include dermatology, dentistry, and caring for senior pets. Dr. Points enjoys getting to know each of her patients and their families and focusing her recommendations on what is best for each individual patient and its family. She knows that providing the best care to her patients means creating a trusting relationship between her and the pet and its family.
Dr. Points’ husband and two sons keep her busy on her days away from the clinic. Some of her secret addictions include coffee, cupcakes, The Office, and true crime podcasts. A couple fun facts about Dr. Points are that she is left-handed and that she is surrounded by boys at her home – both humans and pets!
